Sports love Valencia. Besides football, that is always a great chance for your business, the city is home of many other important sport competitions; such as the Formula 1 Europa GP, the Spanish Moto GP and, of course de Valencia Tennis Open, that is part of the ATP 500 World Tour and welcomes many of the top 10 tennis players every year.
Held from the 29th of October to the 6th of November, it takes place in one of the most wonderful buildings in the City of Arts and Science: The Agora. Designed by world renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, its impressive vaulted metal structure covers a 5.000 square meter area and has capacity for over 6.000 spectators.
The main court of the tournament is placed in the Agora. The rest of the courts and the Fun Park are situated next to it, in the middle of the City of Arts and Science, one of Valencia’s most know attraction. This gives you the chance to enjoy much more than just tennis matches.
You can take a look in the Fun Park, where, besides many leisure activities, the most important figures of the tournament will be there to appear in exhibitions, participate in promotional events or sign autographs.
If want to take a rest from tennis, you are just a minute walk away of The Oceanographic –the largest and most beautiful aquarium in Europe– the huge Science Museum, the Hemisfèric –Spain’s biggest IMAX Dome– or the Palau de les Arts (the Opera).
32 players will participate in this tournament. Four of them are in the ATP top ten rank, such as last year’s winner David Ferrer, Robin Soderling, Gael Monfils or Jo-Wilfried Tasonga. But you sure also know others like Nicolás Almagro (12), Juan Martín del Potro (13), Fernando Verdasco (22), Feliciano López (28) or Nikolay Davydenko (36).
Formerly ATP nº1 rank player Juan Carlos Ferrero, who is valencian, will also try to win a tournament he can call of his own, just like David Ferrer and former player Conchita Martínez, as they are co-owners and organizers of the tournament.
Tickets for the Valencia Open 500 are quite affordable. You can watch matches during a whole session for up to just 14€. Nevertheless, this prices increase gradually depending on hoy near to the final the session is. A ticket to watch the semi-finals costs 42€ and one for the final will get you up to 60€.
So, if you, your clients or your employees like tennis, the Valencia Open is a great chance to enjoy this sport in such a unique venue as the City of Arts and Science. Perfect for gratifying clients, relaxing after a meeting or even for an incentive trip for your employees.
